Portable questions
Is LibreOffice Portable the same as the installed version?
Yes, functionally identical. All Writer, Calc, Impress and other applications are included. The difference is only in how it is stored and launched — everything runs from the portable folder with no system registry entries or Program Files installation.
LibreOffice Portable is slow to start — how to speed it up?
Running from a USB drive is inherently slower than a local SSD install. For better performance, copy the portable folder to the local hard drive and run it from there. A USB 3.0 drive is significantly faster than USB 2.0 for this purpose.
